UEFA Champions League Final

Word and stadium marks for the 2022 UEFA Champions League Final. Originally intended to be held in Saint Petersburg but was eventually called off and moved to Paris due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Building on the city’s rich nautical and artistic heritage, it looks at maritime signal flags and the Russian constructivism movement (which originated in the city), bringing them together in a dynamic mark that forms the main identity for the Final.

The wordmark is used alongside the key visual created by Maxim Zhestkov, which builds on the same concepts and elevates the wordmark into a colourful and energetic representation of the city.
